Paul DruckmanAfter a highly successful business career as an entrepreneur in the technology sector, Paul currently operates as a non-executive chairman and director for a number of businesses and organisations ranging from the world of software to business support. Paul has also worked extensively within the accounting profession, carrying out high-profile work to influence the field on sustainability issues. During his year as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (2004/5), Paul’s keen interest in this area was the impetus behind increased awareness within this field.

Since 2004, Paul has been a steering board member for the Prince of Wales project on accounting for sustainability, most recently chairing the reporting working party www.sustainabilityatwork.org.uk. In 2008, Paul took over as Chair of Board for the Prince’s project, which in future will have significant participation internationally and from within the accountancy profession.

Paul’s influence also extends to Europe, spearheading sustainability issues for the FEE (Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens), the representative organisation for the accountancy profession in Europe. He is both Chairman of the organisation’s Sustainability Policy Group and creator of its Sustainability Structure.

Formerly, Paul was President of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales; Chairman of the CCAB (the six UK accounting bodies); a board director and council member of the Financial Reporting Council and chair of the Audit Committee; and member of the City Takeover Panel.
